There are a multitude of different methods you can use to do a comprehensive traffic analysis of your site. There are also thousands of Internet companies that can do your analysis for you, for a small fee that is. I was almost going to pay some of these sites until I found an easy way I could quickly check my stats for free.
A quick Internet search will reveal that there many free services and traffic analysis programs out there that will let you check and monitor your own statistics.Another small hint when you are conducting a search on all the search engines, if you enclose your search phrase or keyword inside some quotation marks, you are telling the search engines to fine-tune your search. You will get more relevant content for your search this way and save yourself a heap of time.
Traffic analysis is something that you must do constantly to check your websites performance. It is much better to keep your money by doing this simple job yourself instead of farming the work out. At least until you are making a decent profit.
On the first page of your websites cpanel (control panel) there is a file called 'Awstats,' once you click through this icon you will be taken to choose which domain or sub domain you will to find the stats on. The awstas folder normally resides in the "log' area of your control panel.
Once you have clicked through the Awstats icon you will then have a choice of which domain or sub domain you want to view the stats on. Once you have chosen your domain by clicking on the 'View' button you will see the fantastic statistics that are now available to you.
